Why “Seven Awesome Days”?

Well, first of all I discovered that we had been robbed—all of us!

Robbed blind, of one of our most valuable possessions. How could that be?

It was not an accident. It was deliberately planned. Sheer, straight-faced robbery, in broad daylight!

What had been taken from us so brazenly? The very thing that makes us as humans tick. It was hope, and meaningful life. It was assurance and joy and true happiness. We were literally robbed, and left instead with a perverted outlook of hopelessness--of meaninglessness, of emptiness!

Oh, there were moments of hilarity and fun left to us, all rght. Just enough to keep us “happy” in our blackness.

You see, I discovered that we were made for a high and lofty purpose, made to live a truly satisfying, life. We were made by One who had carefully designed every feature of our anatomy and of our psychological makeup. Even the world around us had been carefully crafted and scrupulously designed to meet our every need and even our every honest desire. And this realization should have been for us an endless source of real satisfaction.

But then along came the Big Lie. With a brazen plan to deceive and a Big Machine to promote the Big Lie, we let the wool be pulled over our eyes. We were robbed, when we weren’t looking! Robbed of our most precious possession!

All of this was masterminded by the Big Liar. He presents himself as a nice, quiet, harmless gentleman – while he robs and steals and cheats. He’s not alone, either. He has a bunch of henchmen, who do the dirty work on his behalf.

The purpose of this little book is, hopefully, to undo some of the disastrous things that have entangled us, some of the things that have led to hopelessness. Its purpose is to help as many as possible to break loose from the darkness of the Big Lie, and to find once again the enjoyment of this most precious possession of which we have been robbed.

And we begin with the “reinstatement” (though He never really abdicated!) of the Great and Wonderful God who started it all; the Supreme One who, in Seven Awesome Days completely changed our world!

Put simply, our purpose is to restore some of that Perfect Paradise to which the very First Man was born! And to learn how that Paradise came to be and how we, too, can enjoy it, right now, right where we are!
